When Betsey Johnson filed for bankruptcy three months ago, we knew it wasn't over for the over-the-top designer. Where there's a will for scorching-hot-pink-slathered-in-animal-print, there's a way, right?
Well, it's happening sooner than we expected—Betsey is bringing back her beloved rosebuds and studs with a new dress line for spring. Woot!
"I'm back!!!" Johnson said in a statement. "Doing my dress thing. Pretty and punk, sweet and sexy, always rock n' roll."
To do so, the designer teamed up with The Levy Group, a New York-based firm that's produced Betsey's outerwear for the past five years—making it the group's first foray into the dress category.
The kooky queen of wildly-feminine fashion will unveil the collection of "solid and printed sexy, flowing dresses" ($99 to $249) next month on the runway.
