Venus Williams Will Show for the First Time at New York Fashion Week

After multiple Olympic gold medals and Grand Slam titles, Venus Williams is taking her fierce fight off the tennis court and onto the runways of New York Fashion Week.

The tennis star recently relaunched her athletic-wear line,
EleVen, and plans to show it in New York, September.
"I'm not sure of the exact location because I just got back from the Olympics," she told
The Cut. "I'm still getting updated. Who am I? Where am I? Why?"
While she is unsure of the exact location, Venus is sure about the design.
"I lead up all the design. That's really number one, because if I'm not there doing that, then it won't look like me, and it will start to look ordinary."
The line was originally sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's—the retail chain that housed
Sarah Jessica Parker's collection and shuddered due to bankruptcy in 2008.
The show is set for September 12th, and will, according to her publicist, be unconventional.
