Vera Wang's name is synonymous with wedding dresses.
If a bride wants to do it big and make an impression, she calls on Vera for a gown. But now, after a 23-year run, Vera may be pulling the curtains on her own marriage.
Mario Grauso, president of the former couple's joint brand, announced that Vera and her husband Arthur Becker are separating in a statement earlier this morning that read:
“Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.”
The pair was wed back in 1989 before Vera launched the multi-million dollar fashion empire that she sits comfortably on top of today.
But Arthur wasn't a passive watcher of her fame, according to multiple reports, he frequently advised Vera on her creative ventures and played a vital role in the growth of her business. While the couple has filed to be legally separated, they have not filed for divorce as of yet.
