Monique Lhuillier already has most of the women’s lifestyle markets cornered; she has bridal and ready-to-wear down pat, as well as a licensed bridesmaid and evening collection, stationery, tabletop and fragrance lines. But after 16 years of business, she’s tackling the final frontier: shoes!
Monique just announced that she is launching her first-ever shoe collection for Spring 2013. The capsule collection will include roughly 15 styles to start, and will expand into a full line for fall 2013. Taking a cue from Manolo Blahnik who has created custom pumps for her runway shows, the shoes will feature exotic skins and Monique’s trademark lace. The styles will retail for $595-$1,195 and will be available in her stores, including the first in New York City, in September.
