Who knew that gummy bears could be used in the world of fashion?! The sweet treats were used to make an Alexander McQueen-inspired dress that would be featured in Twelve Magazine's debut issue.
Designers Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi created the dress out of 50,000 gummy bears, to pay homage to the late designer. The gummy bears were arranged in a rainbow chevron-like pattern inspired by a McQueen rainbow feather dress.
The dress consisted of a wire base and took three weeks to hand glue each gummy bear. Three people were also needed to move the dress, as it ended up weighing 220 pounds.
