About Face of Peace Africa

All over the world, the quest for sustainable peace and security has continued to bother the minds of stakeholders, international organizations, the Government, security agencies, NGOs, grassroots organizations, communities, etc. This challenge has assumed higher momentum in the context of the post cold war period which unleashed major transformations in global balance of power and the structures of attaining global peace.

The quest for world peace has kept everybody thinking and looking for a way out because everybody is affected by conflict in its various ramifications at all levels of society.

Conflict has adverse effect in the social and economic growth of a nation. A nation that is bombarded with frequent chaos and community clash is bound not to develop as fast as one which is in a peaceful state of mind.

Before now, Plateau state capital (JOS) was the tourism hub in Nigeria, but due to its constant religious and communal crises situation, a potential tourist won’t want to spend a night there. A situation of most people being posted to some Northern states for their Youth service is met with series of rejection because of the past conflicts that were not properly handled.

In the backdrop of all of these and other examples not mentioned, FACE OF PEACE AFRICA has come to contribute its own quota to sustainable peaceful existence in Nigeria.

INFORMATION FOR REGISTRATION/AUDITIONS.

Registration ends 30th August, 2013.

Audition holds in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja, Ghana, Cameroun, South Africa, The Gambia, USA, UK  from 2nd – 8th September, 2013.

Camp opens on the 1st of November and the grand finale on the 16th of November, 2013.
