Italian authorities are still searching for Vittorio Missoni, owner of the Missoni brand, whose plane disappeared on the coast of Venezuela this Friday. The small BN-2 Islander plane was also
carrying his partner Maurizia Castiglioni, two friends, and two crew members. Venezuelan pilot Enrique Rada says he saw the plane fly into “an aggregation of clouds,” and speculated the plane may have been hit by a bolt of lightning. We hope they find Mr. Missoni and the other passengers, and that they are somewhere safe on an island off the coast. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Missoni family.
