Alessandra Ambrosio will have the honour of modelling the Fantasy Bra during the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Every year one Angel is selected to wear the prestigious jewel-encrusted piece - which is redesigned for each show - with Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum all having modelled it in the past.
This marks the first time that Ambrosio has been selected to model the Fantasy Bra - which for 2012 takes a floral theme. The $2.5 million (£1.54 million) design features over 5,200 precious gems with a hand-picked selection of amethysts, sapphires, rubies and diamonds set in 18-carat rose and yellow gold. A 20 carat white diamond sits in the centrepiece.
The 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is set to take place on November 7 and will feature performances from Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars. The catwalk spectacular will be broadcast on US television on December 4.
