Bee:What inspired you to go into shoe making?
Zubair: From a very young age I've loved shoes. I think I was 14 when I got a pair of shoes for myself, that was it, I was in love!My obsession has grown since then. I'd hate to think how many pairs I've bought over the years. My
inspiration actually came from my love for good quality foot wears.....I have always been a lover of shoes right from my childhood days,I find myself spending my allowance on buying shoes and at any opportunity i get to request for something from my elder brothers in the UK, I always find myself requesting for footwears. At a point in time, I bought a pair of shoes for a pretty huge sum for a student then and my mom was really mad at me....
    I first started by marketing footwears for a friend who's also in the same line of business but he wasn't taking it as serious as i wanted it, as he was really delaying orders and he wasn't particular about detail. At some point,I then made up my mind to opt out and go train myself and get the necessary skills which made me set up myself. I suppose my love of shoes has inspired me to embark on this adventure. Each shoe is a work of art, some people love collecting paintings others love collecting shoes!

Bee:What inspires your shoe designs?
Zubair: My inspirations comes from the fact that I want to be the best at what i do. I try to design shoes that would suit everyone both the young and the old and I want my clients to be able to think of what they want to wear and they get exactly what they want. I get description of what my clients want their shoes to look like and i design and build them for them. It gives me great joy to walk into a place and i see a couple of people walking right in  Zubair Bespoke Footwear.

Bee:What's unique about zubair bespoke shoe and sepeartes it from other bespoke shoe collections?
Zubair:At Zubair Bespoke Footwears, we pay attention to detail and make sure we don't compromise on our standard right from start to finish. Our driving force is customer satisfaction as we want each and every customer to have value for their money which we always give to all our customers as our track records shows it that our customers always come back to order more footwears after they start walking right in their first pair and also refer us to other prospects. We are more particular about customer satisfaction as that is what has been sustaining us.I suppose getting the feel of the shoes right and making sure they are comfortable.

Bee: As we're starting the last quarter of the year,are their any plans to launch and exhibit a new collection.
Zubair:sure, we have already started working on a variety of new designs for the last quarter of the year which we would be rolling out in due course and we are sure our clients are already looking forward to start walking right in them. It only takes a couple of weeks to come up with new designs and they just need refining before we start building them. We would definitely give them value for their money as usual.

Bee: How would you compare your shoe designs to London based Nigerian designer; Lolu 1960?
Zubair:We have a couple of similar designs with Lolu 1960 as we are both in the same line of business but we have differentiated ours by adding some leather collections to our collection of footwears. Lolu 1960 is also a great brand.
