A SPOKESPERSON for John Galliano has this morning refused to comment on rumours that the designer has filed an employee-employer dispute claim for over €15 million (£11.9 million). It has not been confirmed whether or not the case is associated with his 2011 Dior dismissal.
It is reported that the former Dior creative director lodged the complaint at the Conseil des Prud'hommes - the French Labour Court that deals with disputes relating to performance and breach of contract between employees and employers. A Paris hearing is scheduled for February 4, 2013, according to the Telegraph.
Galliano, who helmed the iconic French label for 15 years, was dismissed in March 2011 after making anti-Semitic remarks towards people in a Paris bar. He has since been receiving treatment for his alcohol and drug addictions.
