H&M always manages to make affordable fashion really exciting and keep itself at the forefront of our thoughts: Sticking underwear-clad David Beckham statues all over NYC, launching a home line, teasing us incessantly with e-commerce, and of course–the anticipation of that upcoming Margiela collab.
And the US appetite for the fast-fashion retailer must be pretty voracious, because the brand just announced that it’s opening its largest global store ever, right in NYC, WWD is reporting. This mammoth store will reside on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 48th Street, encompass 57,000 square feet, and take up six levels. To put that in perspective, an football field is 57,600 square feet. It will also be the only store in the city to sell all the brand’s collections: men’s and women’s sportswear and ready-to-wear, lingerie, underwear, accessories, children’s wear, newborn apparel, special sizes, maternity apparel, cosmetics and the home collection.
