Aimas By Tayo Shonekan

Tayo Shonekan got her first taste of success in 2004, when her first attempt at designing for her Aimas label was a hit, selling out the entire batch at Spitalfields market, in the UK. As a multi-ethnic child who grew up in the bustling city of Lagos, Tayo had a wealth of cultural influences that she could draw on for inspiration, and ultimately she went on to really explore her passion with a job at the London Fashion Forum.
Eventually, in 2007, she returned to where it all began: Lagos. She got her start styling editorial shoots for True Love Magazine, before eventually joining the Élan (Sunday style supplementary for 234Next newspaper) team in late 2008, where she worked for a year and almost immediately became their sole stylist on-call. Her editorial credits also include Genevieve and FAB magazines, and she is currently the fashion director for TW magazine.
She has styled look books for designers like Lanre Da-Silva Ajayi and Zebra; celebrities like Omawunmi, Nneka, TY Bello, Chimamanda Adichie, Ikechukwu, Kate Henshaw, Helen Priest-Ajayi, Dakore Akande and Stephanie Okereke; and was in charge of wardrobe for Mo'Cheddah's 'If You Want Me' video, as well as the cover for Sasha P's new album "Sasha Speaks".
You might have even spotted her work on the streets of Lagos. She has styled a number of advertorials for Glo with their ambassadors including Ini Edo, Rita Dominic, Ramsey Noah, Mike Ezuruonye, Ego, Funke Akindele,
and P Squared.
